Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PatternEcho ("PatternEcho," "we," "us") provides a mood-tracking mobile application (the "App"). This policy applies to the App and any related services we operate. If you have questions, contact us at support@patternecho.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information - the email address you use to sign up and authenticate.
• Check-in data you provide - mood ratings, activities, medication tracking entries you mark as taken, and any notes you write. This is the core content of the App and is only used to power your own timeline and Delphine's pattern summaries.
• Birth details you choose to provide - your birth date, and optionally your birth time and birth place. These are used solely to compute your natal chart (sun, moon, rising sign, houses, and planetary placements) and the daily transits shown in the App. Providing them is optional; without them, the astrology features simply stay generic or unavailable.
• Subscription status - whether you have an active PatternEcho Pro subscription, managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and our subscription provider, RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details; Apple handles billing directly.
• Basic device and diagnostic information - standard technical data (such as app version and general error logs) used to keep the App working reliably.

We do not currently request access to Apple Health or Google Health data. If that changes in a future update, this policy will be updated first and you will be asked for explicit permission before any health data is accessed.

This website. Separately from the App, patternecho.com uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you: it records aggregate data such as page URL, referrer, country, and general device type, with no persistent identifier. It is not connected to your App account, and no check-in data is ever involved. Nothing you do on this website is linked to anything you do in the App.

3. How we use your information

• To operate your account and sync your check-ins across your devices.
• To generate Delphine's pattern summaries from your own mood, note, and medication data.
• To compute your natal chart and daily transits from the birth details you provide, and to read them alongside your logged history.
• To validate and manage your PatternEcho Pro subscription.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the App.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your check-in data for third-party advertising.

4. Delphine and AI-generated content

Delphine analyzes patterns across the mood, note, and medication data you enter - and, if you provide birth details, your natal chart placements and the day's transits - to surface informational observations. Astrology content in the App is for reflection and informational purposes. Delphine is not a medical device, and its output is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.

5. Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to operate the App, each acting on our behalf under their own data protection terms:

• Supabase - hosts our database and handles account authentication.
• OpenAI - processes your mood, notes, medication context, and (if provided) your natal chart placements to generate Delphine's pattern summaries and readings. This content is sent for the sole purpose of producing your Delphine analysis and is not used to train OpenAI's models.
• RevenueCat - manages and validates subscription purchases.
• Apple - processes App Store payments and, where relevant, TestFlight distribution.

We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell your personal information to third parties, except where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PatternEcho or our users.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and check-in data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account inside the App. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and our servers, and access to our database is restricted using row-level security policies scoped to your account.

8. Children's privacy

PatternEcho is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your choices

• Edit or remove your check-in data at any time within the App.
• Delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen.
• Contact us at support@patternecho.com with any privacy request.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
