Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information PatternEcho collects, why, and how you can control it.
1. Who we are
PatternEcho ("PatternEcho," "we," "us") provides a mood-tracking mobile application (the "App"). This policy applies to the App and any related services we operate. If you have questions, contact us at support@patternecho.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — the email address you use to sign up and authenticate.
- Check-in data you provide — mood ratings, activities, medication tracking entries you mark as taken, and any notes you write. This is the core content of the App and is only used to power your own timeline and Sage's pattern summaries.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active PatternEcho Pro subscription, managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and our subscription provider, RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details; Apple handles billing directly.
- Basic device and diagnostic information — standard technical data (such as app version and general error logs) used to keep the App working reliably.
We do not currently request access to Apple Health or Google Health data. If that changes in a future update, this policy will be updated first and you will be asked for explicit permission before any health data is accessed.
3. How we use your information
- To operate your account and sync your check-ins across your devices.
- To generate Sage's pattern summaries from your own mood, note, and medication data.
- To validate and manage your PatternEcho Pro subscription.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the App.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your check-in data for third-party advertising.
4. Sage and AI-generated content
Sage analyzes patterns across the mood, note, and medication data you enter to surface informational observations. Sage is not a medical device, and its output is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.
5. Who we share information with
We use a small number of service providers to operate the App, each acting on our behalf under their own data protection terms:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication.
- RevenueCat — manages and validates subscription purchases.
- Apple — processes App Store payments and, where relevant, TestFlight distribution.
We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell your personal information to third parties, except where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PatternEcho or our users.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain your account and check-in data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account inside the App. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and our servers, and access to our database is restricted using row-level security policies scoped to your account.
8. Children's privacy
PatternEcho is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your choices
- Edit or remove your check-in data at any time within the App.
- Delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen.
- Contact us at support@patternecho.com with any privacy request.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
